Student-made Musical Instruments: Students in Nancy Staples’ Music Appreciation class worked in groups researching, planning, and making a musical instrument. Students could use any materials to construct their instruments—and they did -- cigar box, muffler, soda can, cookie tin, nuts and washers. Students made a class presentation about their instrument and wrote a summary of the group’s work. These amazing creations, with a description of the materials used, are now on display in the Reference area of the library. And they actually make …. music? You decide!
